INSOMNIA

CAUSES

  • Hunger
  • Indigestion/Heartburn
  • Nausea
  • Mental health
  • Physical discomfort
  • Frequent bathroom trips
  • Restless leg syndrome (RLS)

TREATMENTS

  • Warm drink and a light snack
  • Pregnancy safe medication such as gaviscon advance
  • Ginger products or sickness medication
  • Speak to friends or professionals (see support services)
  • Change positions regularly and use pregnancy pillow
  • Drink less before bedtime
  • Avoid caffeine and use a heat pack
