Always carry a foldable changing mat
Prepare wipes, usually one for wet and two for dirty
Use a distraction, such as a small toy or wipes
Put down a muslin cloth on cold surfaces
Bring ankles together and hold up to prevent hands in the nappy area
CHANGE NAPPIES IN 3 STEPS
1. CHECK AND PREPARE
Check if nappy is wet or dirty
Get changing mat, wipes, nappy and nappy rash cream
Take out the amount of wipes needed
Lay baby down with a toy or other distraction
2. CLEANING GENITALS

3. PUTTING ON NAPPIES
Open nappy and slide under bottom
Gently pull out the rim around edge of nappy to prevent leaks
Lift up and over stomach towards belly button
Hold securely and fasten, check nappy is not tight around stomach
