If your baby shows signs of trapped wind take breaks to burp them whilst feeding. Its recommended to burp your baby for about 10 minutes after feeding until they are 6 months old
WAYS TO BURP YOUR BABY
Sit baby on your lap, support their head and gently pat their back
Lay baby across your lap, support their head and gently rub and pat their back
Hold baby over your shoulder, support the head and gently pat and rub their back
Lay baby on their back and gently rub and massage their tummy
Lay baby flat on their back and slowly move baby’s legs back and forth in a bicycle motion
WHEN BURPING BABIES, CUP YOUR HAND TO AVOID SLAPPING AND TO MAKE THE PROCESS MORE GENTLE. USE A CLOTH TO CATCH ANY SICK OR DRIBBLE.
