SYMPTOMS OF A TEETHING BABY

  • Flushed red cheeks
  • Chewing and biting objects or hands
  • Drooling excessively
  • Crying in pain
  • Rubbing ears

TREATMENTS

  • Teething toys and textured rings
  • Cold objects such as teething toys, flannels and frozen fruit
  • Teething gels if over 3 months old
  • Sugar free medicine for pain

CARING FOR TEETH

  • Brush teeth with flouride toothpaste twice a day
  • Gently brush teeth in circular motion 
  • Use small amounts of toothpaste
  • Visit dentist regularly (free for children) 
  • Don’t rinse as it washes away fluoride
  • Supervise brushing up to 7 years old
